When we set out to plant Ecclesia, we knew that we did not want to be on our own. We wanted our community to have the accountability, resources, fellowship, and perspective of a wider body. When we dreamed of the kind of church we felt called to plant we knew we wanted to find a movement to join and also we knew the following:
We want our church to be contemplative, committed to the deep well of Christian tradition
We want our church to be led by the Spirit of Jesus in power, freedom, and joy. We want our worship to be a vibrant expression of the extravagance of our God.
We want our church to be committed to a multiethnic reconciliation, under the leadership and guidance of persons of color.
We want our church to be deeply committed to justice, living sacrificially for the flourishing of the vulnerable in Mercer County, New Jersey.
But where to find a denomination that is contemplative, Spirit-filled, has multiethnic leadership, and seeks to live as a community of justice and worship? Enter the Covenant Church. You can read more about the Covenant Church's culture here:

We are so grateful to be a part of this amazing denomination. While no group of people, church, or denomination is perfect or gets everything right, we are so excited to play our small part in the Covenant Church movement as we partner with Jesus in his renewal of all things right here in Mercer County, NJ.
